Tommy Wilkinson is a social documentary, commercial and action sports photographer , film maker and writer with a background in marketing. Best known for his high-intensity mountain bike imagery and visual story creation, Tommy's route into photography was a direct result of a serious mountain bike crash in 2013. Damaging his spinal cord, fracturing his skull and causing a bleed on the brain, Tommy also suffered something called a complete Brachial Plexus Avulsion - Paralysing his right arm for life.
Completely self taught, and always shooting distinctively with his left arm only, Tommy's images capture both human interaction with the landscapes and the social elements of sport in a powerful composition. His images, and locations he chooses, also show what can be achieved against perceived disadvantages.
